What is it that moves the head and heart so much that the body will not rest?
Under the Weather crosses the boundaries between what is real and what is imagined. Three women entrapped in their environment vacillate between the balanced and unbalanced thought as they traverse through the 'supposed' options life presents.
Is choice really a freedom; it can be a place of suffocation flooding one with options which can immobilise the individual presenting them with a sense of confusion.
Through the use of film and live performance Under the Weather is an intense character exploration, produced not as a linear dance narrative but rather as an abstract work. Divided into four significant parts three solos and a trio, each section explores the theme through the creation of different environments that capture various moods. These moods are evoked through the marriage of movement sound & set design.
